Compton Community College has been awarded a grant from NASA
Compton Community College has been awarded a grant from NASA's Office of Equal Opportunity, under the Minority University Research and Education Division (MURED) Office. Because of Compton's status as a Hispanic-Serving Institution (HSI), this grant of $75,000 will be used to support two programs:

• "College in Space" program provides scholarships to students in the fields of Science, Mathematics, Technology, Engineering, or Geography.
• The "High School in Space" program complements existing outreach programs to encourage low-income or disadvantaged youth to participate in the sciences and technology. This program features scholarships and new Saturday and summer courses.
